The supporters of Bateeiro booed when Batovi AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juvenal Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedrão Lucas was a little too slow when Ronaldão Bezerra got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 10th minute Custódio Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Batovi AD's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Ramos came free, but Pedrão Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Bateeiro booed when Batovi AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Roberto da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Lucas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Custódio Braga in the 17th minute of play forced Bateeiro's goalkeeper Roberto Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Batovi AD's zone, Paulo Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrão Lucas came out of the goal and Paulo Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Custódio Braga in the 23rd minute of play forced Bateeiro's goalkeeper Roberto Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juvenal Rosa took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roberto Garcia. Roberto Garcia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Bateeiro's Paulo Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronaldão Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Lucas having to interfere. Pedrão Lucas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulo Ramos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 34 minute of play. When Paulo Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Bateeiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Ramos couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldão Bezerra got free with Pedrão Lucas in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 41 minutes into the game, Juvenal Rosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Roberto Garcia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bateeiro's goalkeeper Roberto Garcia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Ramos to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedrão Lucas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldão Bezerra's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Ramos in the 63rd minute of play forced Batovi AD's goalkeeper Pedrão Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Luís Paulo Fantini in the 70th minute really tested Roberto Garcia's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Custódio Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Bateeiro's Paulo Renato Nogueira got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Custódio Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Roberto Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Bateeiro booed when Batovi AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 88 played minutes Batovi AD got a freekick which was hit by Juvenal Rosa. Pedrão Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Ramos in the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Juvenal Rosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
