Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Abelardo Pires took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Travessa FC booed when Ipegue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Abelardo Pires fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Edvaldo Baiano made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 10thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Jarbas Galvão would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Ipegue's Jarbas Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Pires in the 11th minute of play. Jarbas Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Pires in the 12th minute of the match. When Edvaldo Baiano came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Travessa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvaldo Baiano couldn't finish the play. After 17 played minutes Ipegue got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro de Almeida. Ramiro de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan de Queirós having to interfere. Edvaldo Baiano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Jarbas Galvão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 21st minute, Ivo Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 25 minutes of play, Travessa FC's Edvaldo Baiano made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jarbas Galvão was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Ipegue booed when Travessa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sérgio Araújo hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Jarbas Galvão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edvaldo Baiano in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ipegue's zone, Abelardo Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarbas Galvão came out of the goal and Abelardo Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fausto Prestes during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 34 played minutes Ipegue got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Prestes. Edvaldo Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Galvão having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ipegue's zone, Edvaldo Baiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarbas Galvão came out of the goal and Edvaldo Baiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Ramiro de Almeida made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Abelardo Pires ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jarbas Galvão was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Edvaldo Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edvaldo Baiano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jarbas Galvão having to make a save. Edvaldo Baiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jarbas Galvão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Abelardo Pires scored 4-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jarbas Galvão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edvaldo Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jarbas Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarbas Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Jarbas Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Pires in the 90th minute of play. If João Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Travessa FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ipegue for a fine match.
