Nacional AC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Montevideu's Ramiro Félix got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sebastião Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betão Nóbrega in the 16th minute of play. Ramiro Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Sebastião Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Betão Nóbrega in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastião Paraíba saved Nacional AC from getting behind. Sebastião Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Betão Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Sebastião Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nacional AC's Sebastião Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Nóbrega in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Montevideu's Betão Nóbrega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastião Paraíba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. José Augusto de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Sebastião Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Félix in the 36th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Nacional AC's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Félix came free, but Sebastião Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ramiro Félix came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Montevideu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiro Félix couldn't finish the play. After having played for 42 minutes, Fabiano Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nacional AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iuri Pitta came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Nacional AC's Fabiano Souto. But to his dismay, Fabiano Souto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ivo Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Betão Nóbrega recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sebastião Paraíba. Betão Nóbrega showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Sebastião Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Nóbrega in the 60th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramiro Félix during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, Ramiro Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Nacional AC booed when Montevideu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Montevideu's Evandro Linhares got a free kick in the 68th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Montevideu's Betão Nóbrega slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sebastião Paraíba. That made the score 2-4 after 70 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Montevideu's Marcos Ortiz got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute Ramiro Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Nacional AC's Sebastião Paraíba got control of the ball when Ramiro Félix tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ramiro Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelsinho da Silva hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Sebastião Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Nóbrega in the 88th minute of the match. The Nacional AC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Montevideu were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
