After recieving a nice pass, Leais do Paraíso's Roberto Coutinho tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Gomes in the 17th minute of play forced Leais do Paraíso's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Zé Carlos Pirani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 23 minutes, Reginaldo Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leais do Paraíso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reginaldo Jacinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clóvis da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Peixoto having to interfere. Henrique Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginaldo Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Leais do Paraíso's Reginaldo Jacinto got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emílio Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos do Vale having to interfere. Henrique Peixoto came out of the goal and Belchior Cardozo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reginaldo Jacinto got free with Henrique Peixoto in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 89 minutes, Belchior Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leais do Paraíso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Belchior Cardozo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Leais do Paraíso booed when Porâo Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leais do Paraíso's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
