But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elder Pinho couldn't finish the play. In the 26th match minute, Catete SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmyr Varela to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th match minute, Catete SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur de Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Paratudai's Raí Mota proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Paratudai from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Artur de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catete SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur de Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raí Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Willian Cardozo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Catete SC's goalkeeper Alex Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Moraes. Raí Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willian Cardozo in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Paratudai booed when Catete SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmyr Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Catete SC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Willian Cardozo hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute, Willian Cardozo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catete SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Willian Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Raí Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paratudai's Raí Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur de Amorim in the 79th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Flavinho Mazza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Salgado was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emerson Reis during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91stth minute of the game Willian Cardozo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paratudai's Raí Mota was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Raí Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur de Amorim in the 93rd minute of play. Willian Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Raí Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur de Amorim struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Raí Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catete SC. Catete SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
