Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Caranduba's Albertinho Silva started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paraguacu's Kjell Hedvall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho Silva in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Silva in the 6th minute of play forced Paraguacu's goalkeeper Kjell Hedvall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustavo Trancoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustavo Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Kjell Hedvall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Albertinho Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Caranduba getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Isaltino Simões hit a great ball. Kjell Hedvall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Gustavo Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Régis Sampaio made a kick off. Kjell Hedvall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertinho Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Caranduba getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Kauã Montenegro hit a great ball. Gustavo Trancoso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Kjell Hedvall when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kjell Hedvall was a little too slow when Albertinho Silva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-1. Kjell Hedvall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertinho Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caranduba's Gustavo Trancoso got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Albertinho Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kjell Hedvall was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Gustavo Trancoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Kjell Hedvall made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Albertinho Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caranduba's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertinho Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kjell Hedvall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute, Cido Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albertinho Silva in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kjell Hedvall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Albertinho Silva got free in front of the goal in the 90th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Kjell Hedvall was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Gustavo Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over Caranduba could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Paraguacu throughout the match.
