The supporters of UMA VIDA DE AMOR AO SPFC! booed when Pertile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Pedro Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Armindo Sarmento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute, Paulinho de Almeida left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Breno Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zé Pedro Tinoco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Pertile's zone, Armindo Sarmento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Pedro Tinoco came out of the goal and Armindo Sarmento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulinho de Almeida got free with Zé Pedro Tinoco in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes into the match, Pertile's goalkeeper Zé Pedro Tinoco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulinho de Almeida. UMA VIDA DE AMOR AO SPFC!'s Paulinho de Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Paulinho de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the UMA VIDA DE AMOR AO SPFC! fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulinho de Almeida couldn't finish the play. If Armindo Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulinho de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Pertile's Hamílton de Sousa got a free kick in the 44th minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Dedé Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Paulinho de Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armindo Sarmento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Pertile's zone, Cauã Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Pedro Tinoco came out of the goal and Cauã Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Breno Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 70 minutes, Armindo Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
