An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Pedro Proença in the 11th minute of play forced Laudja FC's goalkeeper Simão da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Laudja FC's zone, Leopoldo Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão da Silva came out of the goal and Leopoldo Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leopoldo Andrade took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simão da Silva. Simão da Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Leopoldo Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the game, Zé Pedro Proença was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Power Guido F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laudja FC the free kick. A collision led to The Power Guido F.C. getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Zé Pedro Proença hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Laudja FC's Renan Rosado got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Laudja FC's Simão da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Aparecido in the 23rd minute of play. Bruno Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jânio Arruda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Erasmo Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Vladimir Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laudja FC's Vladimir Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jânio Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Vladimir Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laudja FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimir Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in The Power Guido F.C.'s zone, Bruno Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jânio Arruda came out of the goal and Bruno Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the match, Laudja FC's goalkeeper Simão da Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Pedro Proença. In the 60th minute, Leopoldo Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zé Pedro Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Simão da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vladimir Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jânio Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Vladimir Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laudja FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vladimir Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jânio Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruno Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
