The audience was convinced that Válbson Veloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiaguinho Cosme was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Albertino Mandrak was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Humberto Mello showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. Pirapitinga SC's Tiaguinho Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco de Almeida in the 33rd minute of play. Albertino Mandrak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pirapitinga SC's Humberto Mello got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cabedelo's zone, Tião Donato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertino Mandrak came out of the goal and Tião Donato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Tião Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Cabedelo's Donato Botelho got a free kick in the 65th minute. Humberto Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After having played for 68 minutes, João Francisco de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cabedelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Francisco de Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albertino Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sydney Tande hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Francisco Zonta made a great header on Pirapitinga SC's corner, it was just that Cabedelo's Albertino Mandrak managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Cabedelo's Válbson Veloso got a free kick in the 95th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pirapitinga SC had played much better football throughout.
