Beto Novaes came out of the goal and Frank Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cléberson Barral was extremely unlucky when he, in the 10th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With an all-out effort, Macinha SS's Beto Novaes threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cléberson Barral, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rio de Janeiro EC's goalkeeper Beto Novaes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rio de Janeiro EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Cléberson Barral scored to the left of an out of position Beto Novaes, making the score, 1-0. Beto Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléberson Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rio de Janeiro EC's Beto Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléberson Barral in the 21st minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Rio de Janeiro EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Domingues to maneuver through the defense. Dito Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Cléberson Barral in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Beto Novaes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 73rd match minute, Rio de Janeiro EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Domingues to maneuver through the defense. Macinha SS's Cléberson Barral got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beto Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléberson Barral in the 77th minute of play. Cléberson Barral struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Beto Novaes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macinha SS. Beto Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beto Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléberson Barral in the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Macinha SS were the better team. Macinha SS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
