Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) If Marcus Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liberata SC's goalkeeper Adelino Mattos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Gildo Silveira made a precise shot to the right of Josué Veiga. Colonia SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 19th minute Benê Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Aníbal de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colonia SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aníbal de Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Colonia SC booed when Liberata SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adelino Mattos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aníbal de Queirós's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After 29 played minutes Gildo Silveira rounded Colonia SC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. If Aníbal de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th match minute, Liberata SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Paes to maneuver through the defense. Adelino Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal de Queirós in the 40th minute of play. Liberata SC's Adelino Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal de Queirós in the 41st minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gildo Silveira to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Benê Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colonia SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benê Mineiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adelino Mattos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Aníbal de Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Colonia SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aníbal de Queirós couldn't finish the play. Aníbal de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Adelino Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josué Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Veiga in the 70th minute of play. After 72 minutes of play, Colonia SC's Benê Mineiro made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adelino Mattos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Caco Campidelis was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 77 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Liberata SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Adelino Mattos, was totally fooled by Colonia SC's João Augusto Silveira, who 79 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Colonia SC's Aníbal de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adelino Mattos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benê Mineiro in the 91st minute. Aníbal de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
