Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Cunha in the 7th minute of play forced Diabos Vermelhos's goalkeeper Dida Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Vidal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Gonçalves in the 14th minute of the match. After 19 played minutes Diabos Vermelhos got a freekick which was hit by Reinaldo Gomes. When Dinei Senna came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Diabos Vermelhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinei Senna couldn't finish the play. Albertinho Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 26 minutes, Roberto da Mata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diabos Vermelhos and the Dulcinopolis FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roberto da Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Gugu de Almeida in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dida Carioca, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Gonçalves in the 35th minute of play forced Dulcinopolis FC's goalkeeper Angelo Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Dinei Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diabos Vermelhos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Gugu de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dulcinopolis FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gugu de Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dida Carioca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Diabos Vermelhos were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 55 minutes, Reinaldo Gomes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diabos Vermelhos and the Dulcinopolis FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute, Reinaldo Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gugu de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 65 minutes, Rogério Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diabos Vermelhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogério Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Angelo Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Rogério Gonçalves sped through Dulcinopolis FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Angelo Vidal. Dida Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Mendonça in the 85th minute of the match. Dinei Senna who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Angelo Vidal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gugu de Almeida took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dida Carioca. Dida Carioca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gugu de Almeida in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dida Carioca saved Diabos Vermelhos from getting behind. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Diabos Vermelhos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
