Betão Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Alberto Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Luisinho Melo sped through Iraceminha's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Erivaldo Valadares. Erivaldo Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Melo in the 13th minute of play. Renatinho Brito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erivaldo Valadares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Erivaldo Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renatinho Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Luisinho Melo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jaracatia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Renatinho Brito struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Erivaldo Valadares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaracatia. The supporters of Jaracatia booed when Iraceminha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renatinho Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo Valadares having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luisinho Melo in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erivaldo Valadares saved Iraceminha from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Iraceminha's zone, Renatinho Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erivaldo Valadares came out of the goal and Renatinho Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Luisinho Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Luisinho Melo came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Jaracatia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisinho Melo couldn't finish the play. Erivaldo Valadares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renatinho Brito in the 39th minute of the match. Betão Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the game, Jaracatia's Luisinho Melo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erivaldo Valadares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3.

If Betão Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Pedro Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Catarinense in the 58th minute of play forced Jaracatia's goalkeeper Alberto Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benê Sergipano lost his temper 61 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Roberto Pontes shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Renatinho Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo Valadares having to interfere. Iraceminha's Erivaldo Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Melo in the 71st minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Iraceminha's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Melo came free, but Erivaldo Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Xavier in the 81st minute of the match. Luisinho Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Luisinho Melo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Erivaldo Valadares, passed just outside the right post. Luisinho Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Vítor Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Luisinho Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaracatia's Alberto Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Xavier in the 100th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Jaracatia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Iraceminha.
