Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ian Braga started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leopoldo Medeiros during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 5 played minutes Cornicha FC got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Medeiros. If Pedrinho Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ian Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson da Fonseca having to interfere. If Carlos Eduardo Sergipano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Eduardo Sergipano in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Adolfo de Sena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 0-1 became the score in the 31st minute when Ian Braga elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 35 minutes, Ian Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cornicha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Braga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xixebal FC's attentive Anderson Britto managed to snatch the ball when Raimundo Nascimento made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. João Adolfo de Sena made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Eusébio Pinho sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Eduardo Sergipano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Luizão Dias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Adolfo de Sena. Cornicha FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luizão Dias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 55 minutes into the match, Cornicha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrinho Saldanha came free, but João Adolfo de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Eduardo Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Adolfo de Sena having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Cornicha FC got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Medeiros. Reginaldo Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Xixebal FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Reginaldo Bastos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Carlos Eduardo Sergipano might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Adolfo de Sena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Eduardo Sergipano ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelo Matorin struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. João Adolfo de Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xixebal FC. In the 76th match minute, Cornicha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Garcia to maneuver through the defense. João Adolfo de Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ian Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson da Fonseca having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reginaldo Bastos in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nilson da Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 87 played minutes Xixebal FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Matorin. 91 minutes into the match, Carlos Eduardo Sergipano notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Cornicha FC's João Adolfo de Sena. João Adolfo de Sena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. João Adolfo de Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Pinho in the 94th minute of play. João Adolfo de Sena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Eduardo Sergipano's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
