Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Clemente Maranhense got the match started through his kick off. Adhemar Camargo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armandinho do Vale in the 13th minute of play forced Ibipetuba's goalkeeper Adhemar Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cleiton Leite's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adhemar Camargo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Nuretama booed when Ibipetuba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juninho Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ibipetuba's Adhemar Camargo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Ibipetuba from getting a goal against them. After having played for 21 minutes, Nelson Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nuretama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelson Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Perivaldo Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davi de Senna in the 24th minute of play. Adhemar Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Barros in the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Ibipetuba's goalkeeper Adhemar Camargo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cleiton Leite. If Nelson Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelson Barross short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Adhemar Camargo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Angelo Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Nelson Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adhemar Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibipetuba's goalkeeper Adhemar Camargo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the game, Cleiton Leite recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adhemar Camargo. Cleiton Leite showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Cleiton Leite came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Nuretama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cleiton Leite couldn't finish the play. Nelson Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute Cleiton Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adhemar Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67thth minute of the game Nelson Barros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibipetuba's Adhemar Camargo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nuretama's Perivaldo Esteves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Nuretama from getting a goal against them. In the 71st minute, Nuretama's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Davi de Senna fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
