Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Cunhaporanga's Tiago França started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Tiago França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Barreto having to interfere. If Tiago França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Catalao's Pedro Luiz Lucas got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Catalao's zone, Miguel Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean Barreto came out of the goal and Miguel Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiago França got free with Jean Barreto in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
