Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cássio de Amaral kicked off to start the match. Didi Carioca came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Patos's Cássio de Amaral. But to his dismay, Cássio de Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Tomé Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Didi Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Didi Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tomé Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Patos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomé Queiroz couldn't finish the play. ATOMOS FC's Didi Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomé Queiroz in the 32nd minute of play. Didi Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Paulão Velasco charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulão Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 38 minutes into the match, Manfredo Pena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vitório Albuquerque. Patos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manfredo Pena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 42nd match minute, ATOMOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adilson Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdo Queiroz to make the kick off. Cássio de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Didi Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 53 minutes, Tomé Queiroz made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. ATOMOS FC's Didi Carioca tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 58 played minutes Cássio de Amaral rounded ATOMOS FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Vitório Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Patos's Cássio de Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Didi Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio de Amaral in the 69th minute of the match. Cássio de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi Carioca having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio de Amaral in the 74th minute of play forced ATOMOS FC's goalkeeper Didi Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Didi Carioca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomé Queiroz in the 75th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdo Queiroz in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitório Albuquerque prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manfredo Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Vitório Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 played minutes Patos got a freekick which was hit by Dida Meirelles. After 85 minutes, Luís Fernando Valadares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Patos and the ATOMOS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luís Fernando Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Valdo Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. ATOMOS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdo Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitório Albuquerque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manfredo Pena took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitório Albuquerque. Vitório Albuquerque dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Patos's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
