Evaristo Fantini acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 34th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Vladimir de Brito. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durval Paulista in the 43rd minute of play forced DOURADO CUIABANO F.C's goalkeeper Evaristo Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Durval Paulista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Isaltino Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vitinho Paranaense during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. DOURADO CUIABANO F.C's Tiago Gabriel Mello shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 96th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ian Fonseca but with some difficulty. Piripiri FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
