Gonçalo Arantes started the match with the kick off. Ademar Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristóvão Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Kauã Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilton Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilton Carioca in the 16th minute of play forced Levinopolis's goalkeeper Diego Elizardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sampaio Corrêa F.C.'s Nilton Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gonçalo Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Nuno Simão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Nilton Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sampaio Corrêa F.C.'s goalkeeper Kauã Peres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Nilton Carioca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Sampaio Corrêa F.C.'s Gonçalo Arantes got a free kick in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristóvão Bertassi made a kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Cícero Pitta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diego Elizardo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kauã Peres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristóvão Bertassi went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 65 minutes into the match, Sampaio Corrêa F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Reginaldo Ramos came free, but Kauã Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristóvão Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauã Peres having to interfere. Sampaio Corrêa F.C.'s Kauã Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Bertassi in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Sampaio Corrêa F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Bertassi came free, but Kauã Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Elizardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nilton Carioca in the 79th minute. Nuno Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Kauã Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Levinopolis booed when Sampaio Corrêa F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kauã Peres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sampaio Corrêa F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
