Virgílio de Amaral struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Giovanni Reis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mocambinho AD. João Francisco de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Válter Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovanni Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio de Amaral in the 17th minute of play. If Virgílio de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mocambinho AD's Virgílio de Amaral, in the 29th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Mocambinho AD. Vinícius Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Reis having to interfere. In the 35th minute, one of Ameliopolis:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ameliopolis. In the 43rd minute, Vinícius Oliveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giovanni Reis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 46th minute, Toninho Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Francisco de Azevedo was the one to do the kick off. Alexsandro Vaz hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the game Evandro Mello kicked a great long shot which passed Giovanni Reis straight ahead into the goal, Result 0-3. One couldn't see Evandro Mello behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. The crowd rose to their feet as Vinícius Oliveira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Giovanni Reis. That made the score 0-4 in the 59 minute of play. When Paulinho Favoretto fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ameliopolis's protests and gave Paulinho Favoretto a yellow card for diving instead. Evandro Mello shot the penalty kick right outside the post. With a little luck, Ameliopolis's Giovanni Reis got control of the ball when Virgílio de Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. Giovanni Reis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virgílio de Amaral went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Vinícius Oliveiras short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Giovanni Reis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Osmar Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Válter Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mocambinho AD's goalkeeper Válter Medeiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Virgílio de Amaral did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-6 to the left of a surprised Giovanni Reis 95 minutes into the match.
