With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arlindo Madureira in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Telmo de Salles saved Garotos da vila FC from getting behind. When Jacarecica's Arlindo Madureira in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Garotos da vila FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 22nd minute Arlindo Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Telmo de Salles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arlindo Madureira's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. A collision led to Jacarecica getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Custódio Barros hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, André Luís Simão sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jacarecica's Digo do Vale didn't even have to move. Digo do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dadá de Amorim in the 31st minute of the match. Jacarecica's Ademir Seco couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Garotos da vila FC. When Flávio Neves fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garotos da vila FC's protests and gave Flávio Neves a yellow card for diving instead. Vladimir Mendes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Telmo de Salles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

58 minutes into the match, Garotos da vila FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Mendes came free, but Telmo de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Garotos da vila FC booed when Jacarecica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademir Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlindo Madureira in the 63rd minute of play forced Garotos da vila FC's goalkeeper Telmo de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Custódio Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, one of Garotos da vila FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Garotos da vila FC. Donato Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donato Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Digo do Vale having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arlindo Madureira in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Telmo de Salles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacarecica's Digo do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Carlos Leal in the 89th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Garotos da vila FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Madureira came free, but Telmo de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacarecica's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
