Albertinho de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dadá de Amorim in the 7th minute of the match. In the 7th match minute, Avai CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Machado to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute Gilson Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gilson Matorin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Telmo de Salles was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Délio Passos charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Délio Passos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Avai CS got a freekick which was hit by Délio Passos. In the 28th minute, Dadá de Amorim made a precise shot to the right of Albertinho de Almeida. Avai CS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gilson Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Telmo de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramón de Barros struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Telmo de Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avai CS. With a little luck, Garotos da vila FC's Telmo de Salles got control of the ball when Ramón de Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Telmo de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilson Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramón de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half Garotos da vila FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Donato Lopez made the kick off in the second half. Gilson Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Telmo de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donato Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Garotos da vila FC's Donato Lopez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Albertinho de Almeida. That made the score 0-2 after 64 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilson Matorin in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Telmo de Salles saved Garotos da vila FC from getting behind. In the 84th match minute, Avai CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Garcia to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, André Luís Simão sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Avai CS's Albertinho de Almeida didn't even have to move. Gilson Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Telmo de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Avai CS's Albertinho de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Lopez in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to Garotos da vila FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Flávio Neves hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Garotos da vila FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
