The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hernani Freire ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Tapecu's zone, Frederico Vergílio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Cosme came out of the goal and Frederico Vergílio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st match minute, Tapecu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Valle to maneuver through the defense. Hernani Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Cosme having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bitumirim SS's Arí Prestes got a free kick in the 56th minute. Tapecu's David Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernani Freire in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Bitumirim SS's Hernani Freire dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Frederico Vergílio's late challenge caught a Tapecu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frederico Vergílio helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Hernani Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bitumirim SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernani Freire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Cosme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hernani Freire received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. David Cosme came out and tried to block the shot, but Hernani Freire slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 71st minute. In the 95th minute Hernani Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bitumirim SS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
