After 4 played minutes Guiomar got a freekick which was hit by Mané Terra. Guiomar's Emerson Soares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Guiomar from getting a goal against them. 7 minutes into the match, Caapiranga's goal looked a bit too open when Nilton Tinoco came free, but Tony Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
