Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Eugênio Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marquinhos Batista received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eugênio Lopez came out and tried to block the shot, but Marquinhos Batista slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. After 9 minutes, Marquinhos Batista made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Samara SS's Eugênio Lopez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mathias Donato during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Vinhedo booed when Samara SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute there was a penalty for Samara SS. Mathias Donato stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hamílton Couto. 2-1. In the 18th minute, Nando Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Valdomiro Bittencourt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hamílton Couto. Vinhedo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdomiro Bittencourt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 24th minute, Nicolas da Mata fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Juninho Rosa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Nando Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Pedro Augusto Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio Lopez having to interfere. Faustão Schmidt hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Samara SS's Raúl Vides got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Vinhedo's Nicolas da Mata dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valdomiro Bittencourt was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute, Nicolas da Mata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Luiz Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samara SS's Eugênio Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Antunes in the 72nd minute of play. Nicolas da Mata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Pedro Luiz Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samara SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Luiz Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamílton Couto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdomiro Bittencourt in the 83rd minute of play forced Vinhedo's goalkeeper Hamílton Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Pedro Luiz Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
