Fábio Fonseca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Orlando Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Templarios's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrinho Cearense came free, but Fábio Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mazinho Motta hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 14 played minutes, Carai AD's César Rocha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fábio Fonseca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carai AD reached it. In the 17th minute Juan de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléberson Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedrinho Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Fonseca having to interfere. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Templarios's goalkeeper Fábio Fonseca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. César Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marcus Batista fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Templarios's protests and gave Marcus Batista a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Templarios's Marcus Batista got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Pedrinho Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carai AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrinho Cearense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Templarios getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Perivaldo Veiga hit a great ball. Pedrinho Cearense struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Fábio Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carai AD. Pedrinho Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Fonseca having to interfere. Toninho das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Armindo Fontes made the kick off in the second half. César Sena's late challenge caught a Templarios's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. César Sena helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Carai AD got a freekick which was hit by César Sena. The crowd rose to their feet as Carai AD's César Sena slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fábio Fonseca. That made the score 0-2 after 65 minutes of play. Orlando Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. César Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Fábio Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. César Sena's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fábio Fonseca firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 83 minutes, Filipe Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Templarios and the Carai AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 84 played minutes Templarios got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Castro. After a defensive mix-up in Templarios's zone, César Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Fonseca came out of the goal and César Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kléberson Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute, Juan de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute of the match Manoel Catarinense sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kléberson Quirino skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Cearense in the 95th minute of play forced Templarios's goalkeeper Fábio Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Templarios fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Carai AD were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
