Tião Vander started the match with the kick off. Romário Arce's late challenge caught a Internazionale de Milano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romário Arce helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Internazionale de Milano a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tiago Gabriel Silveira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bonival's Vicente Vale. 1-0. In the 8th match minute, Bonival was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César da Silveira to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo José Lara in the 10th minute of play forced Internazionale de Milano's goalkeeper Donatello Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Internazionale de Milano's Donatello Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Eduardo Negri in the 12th minute of play. Donatello Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Trigo in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Carlos Eduardo Negri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bonival fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Donatello Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Eduardo Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Vicente Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Vale made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Juninho Leão sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo José Lara in the 27th minute of play forced Internazionale de Milano's goalkeeper Donatello Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Washington Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tião Vander struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Vicente Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Internazionale de Milano. Washington Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Vale having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Leão in the 38th minute of play forced Bonival's goalkeeper Vicente Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Bonival's Tião Baiano got a free kick in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo José Lara in the 48th minute of play forced Internazionale de Milano's goalkeeper Donatello Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Hugo Tepedino put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Vicente Vale. When Caetano Messias fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bonival's protests and gave Caetano Messias a yellow card for diving instead. Caetano Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Juninho Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Vicente Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Bonival got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Velasco. After 69 played minutes Internazionale de Milano got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Gabriel Silveira. Donatello Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo José Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Bonival's zone, Tiago Gabriel Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Vale came out of the goal and Tiago Gabriel Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juninho Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Vale having to interfere. Bonival's Vicente Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Ortiz in the 77th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Bonival's Carlos Eduardo Negri slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Donatello Madureira. That made the score 3-3 after 80 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington Ortiz in the 85th minute of play forced Bonival's goalkeeper Vicente Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tião Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Vale having to interfere. Hugo Tepedino scored 4-3 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vicente Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 97th minute, Bonival's Carlos Eduardo Negri ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Donatello Madureira. Donatello Madureira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-4.
