Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fernandão Magalhães took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Xavantina booed when Atenas Itaim Pta ZL SP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes in the game, Fernandão Magalhães fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fiori da Mata having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Xavantina fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! Fernandão Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atenas Itaim Pta ZL SP's Fiori da Mata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Atenas Itaim Pta ZL SP from getting a goal against them. Isaltino Cabral was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. Xavantina's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Fernandão Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Xavantina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernandão Magalhães couldn't finish the play. Ciro Arósio hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute Fernandão Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fiori da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fiori da Mata came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Xavantina's Isaltino Cabral. But to his dismay, Isaltino Cabral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Isaltino Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiori da Mata having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Isaltino Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isaltino Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Fernandão Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xavantina's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernandão Magalhães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fiori da Mata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Almir Domingues to strike the kick off in the second half. Isaltino Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fiori da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandão Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the match, Xavantina's goal looked a bit too open when Almir Domingues came free, but Evaristo de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atenas Itaim Pta ZL SP's Almir Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Isaltino Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isaltino Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the game, Almir Domingues recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Evaristo de Godoi. Almir Domingues showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Fernandão Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaltino Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Fiori da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
