Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Hílton Correia made the kick off which started today's match. With a little luck, Flamengo's Jarbas Zanette got control of the ball when Conrado Penha tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Barracao defense, Murillo Rezende kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michel Schmidt. The Barracao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michel Schmidt should have stopped the shot. Augusto Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augusto Coelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th minute, Augusto Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, Murillo Rezende made a precise shot to the right of Michel Schmidt. Barracao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arlindo Ferraz got free with Jarbas Zanette in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Murillo Rezende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Michel Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Couto in the 22nd minute of play. Amadeu Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Schmidt having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Murillo Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arlindo Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hílton Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Jarbas Zanette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute of the match, Hílton Correia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jarbas Zanette saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hílton Correia took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jarbas Zanette. Jarbas Zanette dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amadeu Couto to make the kick off. In the 55th of the match, Amadeu Couto tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Michel Schmidt got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 60th match minute, Flamengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arlindo Ferraz in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarbas Zanette saved Flamengo from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Hílton Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barracao's supporters rose to their feet, but Hílton Correia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarbas Zanette breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jarbas Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hílton Correia in the 70th minute of the match. Jarbas Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Hílton Correia might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jarbas Zanette. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hílton Correia ran back to his position shaking his head. Amadeu Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hílton Correia in the 82nd minute of play forced Flamengo's goalkeeper Jarbas Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo's zone, Hílton Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarbas Zanette came out of the goal and Hílton Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jarbas Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo's zone, Hílton Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarbas Zanette came out of the goal and Hílton Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 99 played minutes Barracao got a freekick which was hit by Túlio Brasil. Flamengo's Amadeu Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 100th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Barracao were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
