When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Hílton Correia took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Humberto Lucas to make any attempt to save it. Pacovais's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barracao the free kick. The supporters of Barracao booed when Pacovais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovânio Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Arlindo Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barracao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arlindo Ferraz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When César Rodrigues fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pacovais's protests and gave César Rodrigues a yellow card for diving instead. César Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Hílton Correia in the 88th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 90th match minute, Pacovais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Vale to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Rafa Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 96 played minutes, Barracao's Túlio Brasil shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Humberto Lucas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barracao reached it. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
