Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tostão Baptista in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermínio Vaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benedito Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Baiacus SS's Baltazar Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Baiacus SS from getting a goal against them. In the 23rd minute Tostão Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermínio Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baiacus SS's Baltazar Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Baiacus SS from getting a goal against them. Tostão Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Vaz having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cipriano Marques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Baiacus SS's Baltazar Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademar Costa in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute Tostão Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermínio Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baltazar Oliveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Marques's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 59th minute, Cipriano Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Baiacus SS getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Tostão Baptista hit a great ball. Baltazar Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cipriano Marques might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baltazar Oliveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cipriano Marques ran back to his position shaking his head. Virgílio Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Baiacus SS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Peruje EC.
