The referee ignored Bilisquetiis E C's protests and gave Haroldo Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. Haroldo Barbosa hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Nicolas Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Meireles having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Guarau EC's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Barbosa came free, but Álvaro Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Bilisquetiis E C's goalkeeper Chicão Sanches had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fellipe Berger. Fellipe Berger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Chicão Sanches made a huge save. Álvaro Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Antunes in the 26th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Fernão de Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Haroldo Barbosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Álvaro Meireles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Nicolas Antunes had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 35 minutes, Vânderson Bertassi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guarau EC and the Bilisquetiis E C players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Guarau EC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Vânderson Bertassi hit a great ball. Leonel Furlan struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Álvaro Meireles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bilisquetiis E C. Álvaro Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquim dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernão de Brito was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fellipe Berger in the 52nd minute of play forced Bilisquetiis E C's goalkeeper Chicão Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fellipe Berger took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chicão Sanches. Chicão Sanches dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Fernão de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fellipe Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chicão Sanches having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Luiz Gustavo Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 72 minutes, Fellipe Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guarau EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fellipe Berger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 75 minutes, João Ribeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bilisquetiis E C and the Guarau EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 75 minutes into the game, one of Bilisquetiis E C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Chicão Sanches went to the wrong direction when Jonathan Pires was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernão de Brito in the 79th minute of play forced Bilisquetiis E C's goalkeeper Chicão Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
