Thanks to some nice moves Evaristo Matos could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Dinei Branco however easily saved by the left post. In the 18th minute, Leonardo Barral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flávio Simões was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 21 minutes into the game, Willian Moraes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Flávio Simões was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25th minute, Angelo Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arapongas's Ernani Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dinossauros FC's Flávio Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willian Moraes in the 29th minute of play. Flávio Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Délio Travassos in the 31st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Dinossauros FC defense, Leonardo Barral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flávio Simões. The Dinossauros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flávio Simões should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Dinossauros FC's zone, Leonardo Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flávio Simões came out of the goal and Leonardo Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Willian Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Adriano Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dinossauros FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arapongas the free kick. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dinossauros FC! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willian Moraes in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flávio Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Willian Moraes to make the kick off. Chicão Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinei Branco having to interfere. 52 minutes into the match, Evaristo Matos notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Arapongas's Dinei Branco. Dinei Branco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Flávio Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willian Moraes in the 60th minute of the match. After 61 minutes, Valdir Gaúcho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dinossauros FC and the Arapongas players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Arapongas booed when Dinossauros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dinei Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdir Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Dinei Branco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from César Sabóia went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. The attack was good, but when Sydney de Amaral in the 72nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Leonardo Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flávio Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Simão in the 76th minute of the match. Dinei Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdir Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, Arapongas's Cássio Saldanha got a free kick in the 80th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Arapongas's Leonardo Barral slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Flávio Simões. That made the score 2-5 after 86 minutes of play. Dinossauros FC's Flávio Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Barral in the 90th minute of play. Flávio Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willian Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Matos in the 93rd minute of play forced Arapongas's goalkeeper Dinei Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flávio Simões made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Ernani Galvão sent off a good shot on target. If Willian Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Arapongas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dinossauros FC throughout the match.
