In the 5th match minute, Dinossauros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Moraes to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Gadelha SS booed when Dinossauros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruy Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armando da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Chicão Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mauro Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Motta in the 17th minute of play. Flávio Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Carlos Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When Armando da Costa came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Gadelha SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando da Costa couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Dinossauros FC booed when Gadelha SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandre Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Angelo Linares, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Alessandro Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Mauro Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Evaristo Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chicão Motta in the 37th minute of play forced Gadelha SS's goalkeeper Mauro Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th match minute, Gadelha SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Guerra to maneuver through the defense. When Alessandro Pernambucano fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gadelha SS's protests and gave Alessandro Pernambucano a yellow card for diving instead. Alessandro Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Dinossauros FC's Angelo Linares couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gadelha SS. When César Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Dinossauros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that César Sabóia couldn't finish the play. After having played for 47 minutes, Evaristo Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dinossauros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chicão Motta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evaristo Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Mauro Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chicão Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Dinossauros FC's César Sabóia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauro Ferreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gadelha SS's Mauro Ferreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Gadelha SS from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Dinossauros FC booed when Gadelha SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Chicão Motta fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mauro Ferreira, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of Dinossauros FC booed when Gadelha SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaristo Matos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Mauro Ferreira made a huge save. Chicão Motta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evaristo Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Ferreira having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gadelha SS's zone, Chicão Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Ferreira came out of the goal and Chicão Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the match, Dinossauros FC's Chicão Motta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauro Ferreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
