Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zé Pontes took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hernani Amaral during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 minutes, Evaristo Cardoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itajui and the Assiz SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Evaristo Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Zé Paulo Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Assiz SC's Artur Simões got a free kick in the 13th minute. Maicon Severo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Coelho in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Cristiano Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th minute Cristiano Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maicon Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Régis Alves hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Maicon Severo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 28th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. Olavo Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Maicon Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cristiano Coelho came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Itajui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Coelho couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Mattheijs in the 37th minute of play forced Assiz SC's goalkeeper Maicon Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernani Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laerte Faustino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Olavo Zonta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maicon Severo, 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Cristiano Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maicon Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristiano Coelho succeeded in the game's 63rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-0. Hernani Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Laerte Faustino made a huge save. In the 79th match minute, Assiz SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Régis Alves to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Coelho struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Maicon Severo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itajui. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olavo Zonta in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maicon Severo saved Assiz SC from getting behind. 88 minutes into the match, Assiz SC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Coelho came free, but Maicon Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maicon Severo came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Itajui's Jean da Fonseca. But to his dismay, Jean da Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After 96 minutes, Régis Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Assiz SC and the Itajui players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Régis Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98th minute, Cristiano Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Itajui had played much better football throughout.
