The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cássio Trigo charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cássio Trigo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cássio Trigo hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Hernani Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Júlio Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Pontes in the 8th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Zé Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Revengers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pontes came free, but Júlio Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maicon Severo having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernani Amaral got free with Júlio Paiva in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hernani Amaral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Júlio Paiva having to make a save. Assiz SC's Maicon Severo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thiago da Silveira in the 29th minute of play. Maicon Severo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Carioca in the 32nd minute of play. After 36 played minutes Assiz SC got a freekick which was hit by William Saraiva. In the 37th minute, Thiago da Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Revengers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Thiago da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Sílvio Carioca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maicon Severo was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Régis Alves during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maicon Severo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago da Silveira in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thiago da Silveira made a kick off. Assiz SC's Maicon Severo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Assiz SC from getting a goal against them. Zé Pontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júlio Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. If Zé Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Revengers FC's Thiago da Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Revengers FC's Sílvio Carioca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maicon Severo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Assiz SC's goalkeeper Maicon Severo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Carioca. Thiago da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maicon Severo having to interfere. Zé Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Paiva having to interfere. The Revengers FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Assiz SC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
