Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Thiago da Silveira got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Revengers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Coelho came free, but Júlio Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 6 played minutes Revengers FC got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Urbano. Júlio Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Victor Mattheijs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Olavo Zonta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itajui fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 21 played minutes Revengers FC got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Trigo. In the 25th minute, Thiago da Silveira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Laerte Faustino. The goal made the score 1-2. In the 28th minute Thiago da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laerte Faustino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristiano Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laerte Faustino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago da Silveira in the 34th minute of play. Laerte Faustino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thiago da Silveira went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago da Silveira in the 39th minute of play forced Itajui's goalkeeper Laerte Faustino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristiano Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Olavo Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 47 minutes, Victor Mattheijs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itajui's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Mattheijs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When Olavo Zonta came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Itajui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olavo Zonta couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Itajui booed when Revengers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thiago da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristiano Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evaristo Cardoso was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Itajui's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Itajui booed when Revengers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júlio Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fábio Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Revengers FC's zone, Cristiano Coelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Paiva came out of the goal and Cristiano Coelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Itajui's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
