Juvenal Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Rezende having to interfere. Hudson Prata could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Elder Severo made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in S.C.Baruerinthians P.'s zone, Hudson Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Severo came out of the goal and Hudson Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 12 played minutes S.C.Baruerinthians P. got a freekick which was hit by Renato de Mendonça. 15 minutes into the match, Ramalho's Hudson Prata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elder Severo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th minute Juvenal Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Roberto Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elder Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Hudson Prata's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elder Severo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Juvenal Pontes struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. André Rezende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C.Baruerinthians P.. André Rezende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Pontes in the 43rd minute of play forced Ramalho's goalkeeper André Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Queiroz in the 44th minute of the match. If Luiz Fabiano Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Fabiano Queiroz made a kick off. If Roberto Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in S.C.Baruerinthians P.'s zone, Hudson Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Severo came out of the goal and Hudson Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Fabiano Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juvenal Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. André Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Luiz Fabiano Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C.Baruerinthians P.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fabiano Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Rezende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the match, Ramalho's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fabiano Queiroz came free, but André Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hudson Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Elder Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hudson Prata came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Ramalho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hudson Prata couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. S.C.Baruerinthians P. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
