When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Bradain McBrandon sped through Clube Esportivo Pacheco's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Chico Motta. 47 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Paranaense's Ferdinando Orecchioni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chico Motta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferdinando Orecchioni to strike the kick off in the second half. When Bradain McBrandon, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 55 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Chico Motta was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Aloísio Alves notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Clube Esportivo Pacheco's Chico Motta. Chico Motta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kiko Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Motta having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Bradain McBrandon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chico Motta. Clube Esportivo Pacheco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bradain McBrandon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. The supporters of Clube Esportivo Pacheco booed when Club Atletico Paranaense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradain McBrandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Clube Esportivo Pacheco defense, Yuri de Castro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chico Motta. The Clube Esportivo Pacheco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chico Motta should have stopped the shot. Álvaro Soeiro made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Arlindo Arce sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute Bradain McBrandon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bradain McBrandon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chico Motta having to make a save. When Zé Augusto Eger fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Paranaense's protests and gave Zé Augusto Eger a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Zé Augusto Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Germano Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute.
