Kauã Nóbrega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinando Orecchioni in the 15th minute of the match. Mazinho da Mata could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Álvaro Soeiro made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaká Alcântara in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Álvaro Soeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Álvaro Soeiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ricardinho Sampaio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 21 minute of play. In the 36th minute, Régis Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bradain McBrandon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garra FC's Kauã Nóbrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradain McBrandon in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Garra FC's Ricardinho Sampaio got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half Club Atletico Paranaense were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ferdinando Orecchionis short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Kauã Nóbrega to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 56 minutes into the match, Ferdinando Orecchioni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kauã Nóbrega. Garra FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ferdinando Orecchioni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Kauã Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradain McBrandon, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Club Atletico Paranaense's Álvaro Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Alcântara in the 65th minute of play. Maurinho Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Soeiro having to interfere. In the 68th minute, one of Club Atletico Paranaense:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atletico Paranaense. Garra FC's Maurinho Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute Kaká Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardinho Sampaio during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Ricardinho Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Álvaro Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká Alcântara in the 85th minute of play. Kauã Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradain McBrandon in the 91st minute of play. Club Atletico Paranaense's Bradain McBrandon got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
