Vânderson Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kléberson Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Tomás Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vânderson Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Matorin having to interfere. A collision led to E.C. SERRASUL getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Vladimir Silveira hit a great ball. If Doni Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Tomás Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edinho Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinho Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 28th minute, Franklin Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 0-1 became the score in the 30th minute when Edinho Antunes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Vânderson Furtado struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Erasmo Matorin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SUPERBOL. Erasmo Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doni Neiva in the 42nd minute of the match. SUPERBOL's Doni Neiva got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vânderson Furtado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erasmo Matorin having to make a save. The SUPERBOL players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. E.C. SERRASUL were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doni Neiva to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes E.C. SERRASUL got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Travassos. When Aníbal Vergílio came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the SUPERBOL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aníbal Vergílio couldn't finish the play. A collision led to SUPERBOL getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Aníbal Vergílio hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, E.C. SERRASUL's Silvério Romero tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Doni Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Matorin having to interfere. In the 71st minute Edinho Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edinho Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edinho Antunes in the 73rd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, SUPERBOL's goalkeeper Edinho Cabral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Vianna. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Luizinho Luz put in a rough tackle. Aníbal Vergílio shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Edinho Cabral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás Vianna in the 90th minute. Zé Carlos Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Cabral having to interfere. SERRASUL's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
