Severino Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Moraes in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canatiba EC's goalkeeper Severino Alcântara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Enrique Moraes, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 30 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Severino Alcântara was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Quincos's goal looked a bit too open when Bruninho Bittencourt came free, but Dedé Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Canatiba EC's Severino Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Moraes in the 41st minute of play. Sebastião Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruninho Bittencourt to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Sebastião Mangueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dedé Leme was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0.
