Gurgel's Felipe Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 6 minutes into the match, Nhunguacu SC's goalkeeper Duarte Eger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diamantino Meireles. In the 6th minute, Juninho Zonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diamantino Meireles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Duarte Eger made a huge save. In the 11th minute, Agnaldo Pinheiro made a precise shot to the right of Duarte Eger. Nhunguacu SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Diamantino Meireles succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 14th playminute. After 18 minutes, Gernando da Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gurgel and the Nhunguacu SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 20 minutes into the match, Gurgel's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Zonta came free, but Serafim Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duarte Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Gaúcho in the 21st minute of play. After 22 played minutes Nhunguacu SC got a freekick which was hit by Ian Vianna. After a rather tough play, Nhunguacu SC's Ian Vianna got a free kick in the 25th minute. Nhunguacu SC's Duarte Eger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Nhunguacu SC from getting a goal against them. Thiago Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Nhunguacu SC booed when Gurgel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gernando da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Felipe Gaúcho came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Gurgel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Gaúcho couldn't finish the play. Thiago Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juninho Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Gurgel getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Gernando da Costa hit a great ball. Felipe Gaúcho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Duarte Eger came out and tried to block the shot, but Felipe Gaúcho slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 43rd minute. Diamantino Meireles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Duarte Eger made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Felipe Gaúcho made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Diamantino Meireles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Duarte Eger was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 54th minute, Ian Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute Diamantino Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juninho Zonta hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Thiago Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nhunguacu SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Thiago Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafim Mineiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felipe Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Gurgel booed when Nhunguacu SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juninho Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marquinhos Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Duarte Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Gaúcho in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Diamantino Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Serafim Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duarte Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After 91 minutes of play, Gurgel's Marquinhos Prata made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Duarte Eger was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gurgel walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
