An unexpectedly hard shot by Benê Dante in the 6th minute of play forced Macajuba FC's goalkeeper Hélder Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laerte Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Luiz Guilherme Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Macajuba FC got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Machado. After 16 played minutes, Degredo EC's Cido Santana shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hélder Trigo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Degredo EC reached it. A collision led to Macajuba FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Carlos Alberto do Valle hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute Anselmo Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Degredo EC's Hélder Trigo threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benê Dante, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Macajuba FC's Hélder Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Macajuba FC from getting a goal against them. When Macajuba FC's Dino Domingues in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 42nd minute, Degredo EC's Ruy Viana dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hílton Miranda to make the kick off. Hélder Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hílton Miranda in the 59th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Benê Dante ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hélder Trigo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 68 minutes into the match, Macajuba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hílton Miranda came free, but Hélder Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Dino Domingues reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luiz Guilherme Ramos. The goal made the score 2-2. Macajuba FC were furious when Romário Miranda was red carded, 74 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Macajuba FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Romário Miranda hit a great ball. In the 76th minute of the match Cido Santana shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hélder Trigo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hílton Miranda took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hélder Trigo. Hélder Trigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Bruninho Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Ramos having to interfere. Dino Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. If Álvaro Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Dino Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macajuba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino Domingues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
