Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, CruzMaltino's goalkeeper Júnior Cavalcante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sydney Tasso. In the 28th minute, Jarbas Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in CruzMaltino's zone, Luís Fabiano Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júnior Cavalcante came out of the goal and Luís Fabiano Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Júnior Cavalcante made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Sydney Tasso sent off a good shot on target. Arlindo de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the game, CruzMaltino's Manfredo Monteiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Váldson Gonçalves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Váldson Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarbas Zanette in the 40th minute of the match. Arlindo de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The tension between the Murutinga and the CruzMaltino players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Sydney Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hélder Ribeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Váldson Gonçalves having to make a save. Arlindo de Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Váldson Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CruzMaltino. With a little luck, Murutinga's Váldson Gonçalves got control of the ball when Manfredo Monteiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 60 minutes of play, Murutinga's Jarbas Toledo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júnior Cavalcante was left in no man's land by his defense there! William Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Arlindo de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
