TiagoAlv FC's Narciso Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Damião in the 52nd minute of play. Edmundo Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Severino Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Edmundo Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the TiagoAlv FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Mineiro couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the match, Edmundo Mineiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Severino Lima, 1-4. When Edmundo Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the TiagoAlv FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Mineiro couldn't finish the play. Sydney Guerra struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Severino Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TiagoAlv FC. If Vinícius Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 played minutes TiagoAlv FC got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Guerra. With his leg Severino Lima managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when TiagoAlv FC's Edmundo Mineiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Edmundo Mineiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severino Lima. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmundo Mineiro ran back to his position shaking his head. TiagoAlv FC's Adalmo Mota got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the game, one of TiagoAlv FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Edmundo Mineiros short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Severino Lima to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 99 minutes into the match, TiagoAlv FC's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Salles came free, but Narciso Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. TiagoAlv FC played a much better game than PALMEIRAS and deserved their victory. The PALMEIRAS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
