Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) When Douglas Rosa came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Itapage fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Rosa couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Itapage's Evaristo Freitas got control of the ball when Sandro de Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Tibúrcio Félix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itapage's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cococa the free kick. The supporters of Cococa booed when Itapage was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibúrcio Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulinho Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Rosa in the 10th minute of the match. After 12 minutes of play, Cococa's Sandro de Sousa made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evaristo Freitas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Douglas Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 24th minute, Diguinho Brasil reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Evaristo Freitas. The goal made the score 2-0. Sandro de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Freitas having to interfere. Sandro de Sousa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Evaristo Freitas made a huge save. Evaristo Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diguinho Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evaristo Freitas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Diguinho Brasil showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 36 minute of play. Pedro Luiz Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the game, Pedro Luiz Corrêa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Paulinho Matos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diguinho Brasil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Douglas Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulinho Matos made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Pedro Luiz Corrêa sent off a good shot on target. Jonas Miranda lost his temper 61 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 60th minute, one of Itapage:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Itapage. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for Cococa. Maurício Tróia stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Evaristo Freitas. 4-1. In the 65th match minute, Cococa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diguinho Brasil to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cococa's Jorge Sousa got a free kick in the 75th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evaristo Freitas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 84 played minutes Itapage got a freekick which was hit by Moisés Linares. Evaristo Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro de Sousa in the 87th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Itapage's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro de Sousa came free, but Evaristo Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Rosa in the 94th minute of play forced Cococa's goalkeeper Paulinho Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moisés Linares during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 99 minutes into the match, Cococa's Diguinho Brasil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evaristo Freitas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cococa's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
