São Paulo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lucuri AD the free kick. 21 minutes into the game, Agnaldo Linhares recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emerson Albuquerque. Agnaldo Linhares showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Emerson Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Palmeira in the 24th minute of play. Lucuri AD's Samuca Hames played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Matias in the 27th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucas Matias in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The supporters of Lucuri AD booed when São Paulo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
