In the 5th match minute, Serji EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Luís Leal to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Serji EC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Romero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Souto in the 13th minute of play forced Envira's goalkeeper Aloísio Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Romero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilmar Vides in the 15th minute. A collision led to Serji EC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Claudinho Castro hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Serji EC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Siqueira came free, but Leopoldo Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Envira's Gilmar Vides sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leopoldo Romero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Claudinho Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Marques in the 35th minute of play forced Envira's goalkeeper Aloísio Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teodoro Marques in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aloísio Botelho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Envira's Oséas Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 39th minute. Leopoldo Romero made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Gilmar Vides sent off a good shot on target.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Betão Souto to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Serji EC's Betão Souto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aloísio Botelho. Aloísio Botelho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. If Edmundo Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teodoro Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodoro Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio Botelho having to interfere. Serji EC's Betão Souto got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Betão Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Envira's Aloísio Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Souto in the 79th minute of play. Aloísio Botelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Teodoro Marques's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aloísio Botelho firmly grabbed it by the left post. Betão Souto was extremely unlucky when he, in the 84th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Teodoro Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio Botelho having to interfere. Betão Souto might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aloísio Botelho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Betão Souto ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd minute, Serji EC's Betão Souto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Serji EC played a much better game than Envira and deserved their victory. The Envira players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
