After 3 minutes, Gugu Mandrak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Serji EC and the Piranguinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 3 played minutes Serji EC got a freekick which was hit by Gugu Mandrak. Teodoro Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the game, Carlos Eduardo Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Serji EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piranguinho the free kick. Carlos Eduardo Torres hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Teodoro Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Sidnei Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leopoldo Romero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cauã Barral's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. André Luís Leal hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Cauã Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Leopoldo Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cauã Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Romero having to interfere. The supporters of Serji EC booed when Piranguinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodoro Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Sidnei Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodoro Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute, Luan Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Toninho Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cauã Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute, Carlos Eduardo Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Betão Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serji EC's Leopoldo Romero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Serji EC from getting a goal against them. Leopoldo Romero didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Piranguinho's Cauã Barral shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. If Betão Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caco Mota hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Gugu Mandrak struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Sidnei Aparecido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Serji EC. Piranguinho's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
